Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston (MSRH)
Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston (MSRH) is a not for profit organization that is dedicated to the never-ending, sometimes overwhelming, task of saving the lives of abused, abandoned and/or unwanted Miniature Schnauzers who have lost their homes. Dr. Dayton and Parker Road Animal Hospital play a crucial role in that we provide the critical care needed to save many of their fragile lives.
Because we believe so strongly in the good this organization is trying to do, we provide a wonderful client benefit package to assist the fine people who adopt these loving pets, as well as an ability to give back monetarily to keep the organization going.
Adopters of these pets receive 10% off all their veterinary services including examinations, laboratory & diagnostics, surgeries, hospitalizations, and boarding care needs.
Donations are made to the rescue each time an adopter is referred and annually- 5% of gross annual expenditures by adopters is donated back to the rescue.

This dog was brought to us with a large tumor in the mouth. We biopsied the tumor and found it was not malignant. We surgically removed the tumor and have begun treatment with therapeutic laser. Follow his progress…
This dog came to us with severe de-gloving injuries to the face. He was diagnosed with Ehrilichia causing severe anemia which led a very suppressed immune system allowing an outbreak of demodectic mange. The Demodectic mange caused the dog to self mutilate. Follow his progress…
This dog was brought to us with severe skin issues. She has 2 main diseases that were left untreated as a stray unwanted dog. They are hypothyroidism (the thyroid is not producing enough hormone) and atopy (allergies). As a result, she has developed bi-lateral ear infections, skin infections with both yeast and bacteria present, KCS ( her eyes do not produce enough tears), and a secondary conjunctivitis (eye bacterial infection).
